Meet Cole Canyon Farm

Real-world guidance from a working family farm.

Cole Canyon Farm is a hands-on, family-run operation built around practical stewardship of land and animals. We’ve walked the path of starting small, learning as we go, and figuring out how to involve kids in every step safely and joyfully.

Now, we help other parents and families do the same—whether that means setting up your first few animals, rotating grazing on your property, or simply bringing more intentional, farm-inspired rhythms into your home life.

  • Family-first: every plan considers your kids’ ages, safety, and bandwidth.

  • Grounded in real experience: advice tested on an actual working farm.

  • Flexible support: start with a consult, join a course, or bring us onto your land.

Family walking with animals at Cole Canyon Farm

“Is this right for our family?” is the number one question we hear. Our job is to give you clear, honest guidance so you can make decisions that feel sustainable—not overwhelming.

No pressure. No guilt. Just practical, step-by-step support for the season you’re in.

How it works

One simple path, four flexible ways to work together.

Whether you’re interested in 1:1 consulting, family courses, grazing support, or something else, the process is intentionally simple and family-friendly.

1:1 Farm Consulting

Fill out a short form about your family, land (or land dreams), animals, and goals. Tell us what’s working, what feels hard, and what you’d love to see change.

Choose your path

We’ll recommend the best fit—1:1 consulting, a self-paced course, grazing support, or a mix. You’ll see clear pricing and what’s included before you decide.

Create your family plan

Together we outline realistic steps for the next 30–90 days that match your schedule, energy, and budget. Clear tasks for parents and age-appropriate roles for kids.

Walk it out together

Implementation support looks different for each offer: live calls, course modules, or messaging support. But the heart is the same—we’re in it with you.

How it works for each offer

1:1 Family Consulting

  • Step 1 – Inquiry: Complete a brief intake form and share recent photos and satellite photos.

  • Step 2 – Clarity Call: 30-45 minute video call to understand your goals, safety concerns, and family routines.

  • Step 3 – Custom Plan: You receive a written, step-by-step plan covering land layout, animal recommendations, kid roles, and a realistic timeline.

  • Step 4 – Ongoing Support: Optional follow-up calls or message support as you implement, adjust, and grow.

Family Courses

  • Step 1 – Enroll: Choose your course (for example, “Garden Mapping” or “Farm Audit & Planning”) and complete secure checkout.

  • Step 2 – Access: Get instant access to a private course portal with video lessons, checklists, and printable family guides.

  • Step 3 – Learn Together: Watch short, practical lessons (most under 20 minutes) designed to include kids where appropriate.

  • Step 4 – Support: Submit questions for Q&A rounds or optional add-on consults if you’d like extra eyes on your situation.

Grazing Services

  • Step 1 – Site Assessment: You share your location, acreage, current vegetation, and any photos or videos of your property.
  • Step 2 – Grazing Recommendation: We outline options—on-farm grazing with our animals, rotational plans for your herd, or a hybrid approach.
  • Step 3 – Implementation Plan: Together we design paddock setup, fencing, water, and schedules that account for kids, pets, and neighbors.
  • Step 4 – Field Support: Depending on the package, this may include on-site visits, remote check-ins, and seasonal adjustments.

And butcher animals for purchase

Figure out what your family eats the most and find it local:

  • Figure out how much freezer room you have currently.

  • Pick if you want a quarter/half/full of the butcher animal.

  • Pay for portion of animal. Pick butcher date and cuts.

  • We drop the animal off at the butcher, you pick up the meat up from the butcher .

If you are unsure of where to start on purchasing and sourcing meat locally. We would be more then happy to help you with this free of charge, we believe eating locally as possible is the best way to provide for your family.
